I have been trying to think about ways to get my own music out there. I have been looking online and looking at which way is the most visited place online. Looking at the options I found Soundcloud, Myspace and other places like that. But really, who would honestly just randomly try to find a small band when there are so many people putting their own music up? Who wants to trawl through all the small bands to try and find that one band that we might like?
I would love to question whether the internet is causing a musical revolution for the good or the worse. I understand that it gives lots of bands the opportunity to put their music up to listen to it, but will anyone actually listen to it? For example, I posted a song up on soundcloud and the only reason that I got listens is because it was my friends listening because I posted it on Facebook, but is that really spreading my music?
Sure, youtube has helped the likes of *shudders* Justin Bieber make it big but how often does that happen? Once? Twice?
